Kraftwerks C38-81 Supercharger Kit- 13+ Subaru BRZ & Scion FR-S The C38-81 Supercharger Kit from Kraftwerks is an upgraded version from their C30-94 kit. It is a complete intercooled supercharger system that boasts the larger C38-81 head and is capable of 500+whp with the use of e85. The Rotrex C38-81 Supercharger Unit is Highly efficient and Highly reliable. It features a self contained lubrication and cooling system to operate at low temperatures. Lower temperatures created by the supercharger kit means lower temperatures created under the hood, which is always a good thing. The kit uses an independent cog drive system that separates it from the main serpentine belt. This means it uses a toothed belt that has zero slip under any kind of load and low belt tensions to reduce radial load on the supercharger bearings. Being an independent drive system, it doesn't share a belt with engine accessories and allows for more flexible supercharger placement. Since it doesn't share a belt with anything, if anything were to go wrong with the supercharger system, you can still drive the vehicle home fine. The placement of this kit is even thought about thoroughly. Being offset, it allows for greater clearance around belts. It uses a simple and more efficient tube layout that allows a straight shot to the throttle body to prevent goofy looking hoses or tubing. The placement also allows for easy access to the 'cold air' intake section inside the front bumper. Kraftwerks uses this area to place the intake charge of the supercharger to pull in only the coolest air and not the hot engine bay air. Using this location provides for much cooler temps coming into your supercharger, minimum 20*F cooler than under the hood. The dual bolt pattern mounting plate allows for mounting of this c38-81 supercharger head or the c30-94 supercharger head if you ever decide to go down in power for whatever reason. A newly redesigned washer bottle included with the kit makes it possible to use 2.5" mandrel bent aluminum hot side tubing into the intercooler. 3" piping is used on the cold side thanks to the offset placement of the supercharger. It all goes through an 11 row intercooler that is good up to 460whp. Kraftwerks has made this kit an easy install with no cutting or drilling required that mounts up using stock bolt holes on your front bumper beam. It also includes a high quality MAP sensor for a speed density tuning conversion.
